A woman has been charged with possessing child exploitation material online and possessing child pornography.
Police said the woman, from the Co Louth area of Ireland, was charged on Friday.
They said she had been communicating with another person who was responsible for child exploitation.
Police also said they were continuing to investigate the matter.
The woman, who has not been named, is a resident of Co Loughlin in Dublin and was believed to be working in a hotel in Ireland, where she was also believed to have visited other people, according to the police.
